India's nightmare over

Its all done. Terrorists attacked financial capital of India. Civilians were attacked, police were attacked, commandos were attacked. No men spared. 26th November 2008 is to be book marked in Indian history.

Few emotional words from reporters/citizens/Foreigners and heroic incidents - i always remember these words

These are the words of Patricia and her boy friend. These two people are US citizens on a tourist visit in India for a month. These two US citizens appeal to every one not to panic and not to let terrorists win. They appreciated the efforts of Indian NSG.

They reiterated, We are going to stay India and our tour will continue. we will not let the terrorists win

Greek Multi Millionaire Andreas was one of the victim of this terror strike. One of the general manager of Taj Hotel jumped in to save Andreas. Unfortunately, one bullet went straight into Andreas. Both general manager and Andreas became victims.

Kudos to this great Indian who tried to save the life of a greek national

Pranoy (NDTV) - Advani announced that he will be joining PM in visiting Mumbai. But blame game started and they could not stay unite at least for a single day even in this kinda situation.

Barkha (NDTV) - Security people and Police whom we regularly blame were the heroes for the day. Lot of people SMSed me about ineffective governance of Vilas Rao Deshmukh, where is Raj Thackrey when lot of South and North Indians from security group fought a war against terrorists to save mumbai and its glory. Narendra Modi already announced 1 Crore to victims and started blaming PM for not being emotional.

Rajdeep Sardesai says " 2 Days back while probing Malegaon blasts, Hemant Karkare was called villain. Now today, Modi Calls him Hero. "
After an answer from Seshadri Chary to take back Rajdeeps words and BJP never called Hemant a villain and it is media which hyped it.

Rajdeep replied " I got an SMS from Hemant Karkare the very morning he died which says like this - I am sick and tired of being a police officer in such a country "

Harsha Bhogle - Today i saw in some news channel, Few politicians were discussing about Bandh on December 1st. Is that Bandh a necessary thing? Is this discussion relevant?

Few more politicians visited, are they leading NSG's? are they battling against terrorists? Are n't they nuisance in the middle?

When asked about International image of India - We have enjoyed the glory of India all these days, now it happened we have to bare this. We have to accept if England is willing to leave just because their families woule be waiting for them.

Kudo's to Taj staff and NSG's for their heroic acts. May not be a surprise, no politician got emotional. I am afraid, We (Indians) will be alienated going forward, let us face it.

Iron Ore Crisis!!!

Lakhs of Tons of Iron Ore is still waiting at KrishnaPatnam port to be exported. Initially a ton of Iron ore was sold at the rate of 3000 - 4000 INR. Now China has announced that , for coming 5 years they have enough Iron Ore. Now rate for single ton is around Rs 300 and Government rate is Rs 600. Either way do not work out for mine owners. Already few mines are shut down and many are in the queue.

Another hit :-(

More about Satyam

Satyam is paying Rs 7000 to few freshers (they should get 25000 as salary). When approached Satyam authorities about salary deduction, 2 reasons given are

1. Miscalculation
2. We do not have much amount in hand to pay you

Certainly its time for HRD Ministry to intervene and set things right. Seems real estate is sexy place to invest.

Satyam harsh towards employees leaving company?

He joined Satyam recently. He is happy with his package but not with the kind of work he is doing. He requested to change the team so that he can get a kinda quality work. No one responded. He made his decision to leave the company and he got an offer from another org.

Now notice period is 2 months. As his experience is less, certainly team has got no dependency on him and client accepted to release him. But Satyam refused to send him out since he is billable resource. He agreed to stay back for 2 months.

After 2 months, they made final settlement to him and gave a cheque worth Rs 70,000 INR. when he deposited the cheque, he came to know that cheque is stopped. He tried to reach various people there, but no one is accepting the call. He mailed and got no reply.

Even i heard another incident from another colleague while he was leaving Satyam. They held his passport and threatened him of not giving passport if he leaves.

P.S. I donot have any grudge towards Satyam. The news i heard is very genuine.

Its a miss...

There was a fight between husband and wife. After some time, husband went wild and took out Ax to Kill/Warn his wife. Their child was in the center and watching them. In the middle of fight, accidentally Ax fell on child's thy. Ax is removed and wounded thy is left.

No treatment, No police complaint.

Few weeks back in same village, one persons's leg was completely caught in fire and the fire is stopped and leg is left.

Again no treatment, No police complaint.

I am talking about Barbaric villagers in State of Andhra Pradesh. These Tribal villages are situated in west godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. I came to know about all these incidents after i came across a news in Eenadu daily (Snippet attached).

An NGO group (Sathya Sai devotees) along with few officials were on some visit to these forests and identified these two incidents. and villagers are not ready for any kinda treatment. They are happy to lead their life with those wounded legs but not with people in Cities/towns (In other words, with us). Its true, tribals are scared of us. this NGO group took lot of their energy out to bring these children for treatment in city.

Now my friends started funding to this incident and i was supposed to visit those villages with the help of these NGO's on saturday. Our bus got delayed delayed delayed testing our patience and at the end, we decided to cancel the trip. Otherwise i would have got good pics and videos of villagers and their lives. Its a miss , but i am sure even after 10 years they will be like that only. I can get pics / videos any time i visit later.

Questions -
1. NGO people are feeling pain to collect funds, why no Arogya Sri or any other government schemes to tribals (May be just because they are not part of vote bank and no one from their end will come out for protests against government).
2. These people ran into forests during british rule, why are they still hiding and still scared of us? who should be held responsible for not motivating them for all these years? are tribal officers there only to preserve forest? Not to preserve villagers there?
